An integral part of the order process is your level of responsiveness after accepting the order from a buyer. After receiving an order, you are expected to respond and react promptly and appropriately to all your buyers’ requests, questions, and revisions.
How to be more responsive
. It is always recommended to acknowledge the buyer’s query. Do this by responding to the query and letting the buyer know that you have received the inquiry, you understand what he requested, and if possible, share a delivery timeline, that you are comfortable with, and then complete the order and follow up.
. If it is a revision request, be sure to deliver the order again, with the required changes included in the updated delivery. If the buyer asks you a question, be sure to answer as promptly as possible.
Remember that when you provide an answer that does not provide value to the buyer or fails to address a particular question, the response is not considered a successful response. This is because a response that doesn't actually answer the issue at hand may draw even further messages from the buyer, and consequentially increases the risk of seller unresponsiveness. For this reason, always be sure to provide the specific information that you are asked to provide.
